Welcome to Water Wonder Swim School!  Our website was created to connect swimmer with our school and to keep current swimmers up to date about new happenings and to share related articles and helpful tips.  

Team Water Wonders preteam

Ongoing monthly practices; one 60min practice weekly=$168/monthly auto draft

two 60min practice weekly=$336/monthly auto draft

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:

  • Create and build an understanding of the ins and outs of the swim team

  • Build confidence, endurance & stamina

  • Instill knowledge of training and perseverance

  • Learn how to problem solve strokes and challenge yourself

  • Build team spirit and peer connections through practices

  • Track personal best times and improve stokes and techniques

PRACTICES:

  • Swimmers should arrive at the pool and be ready to get in the water at the stated practice time

  • Wear a well-fitting swimsuit and goggles, and bring a plastic water bottle (NO GLASS)

  • Practice are 2 times weekly for 1 hour each day.

  • Practices will be both in water and dryland

Our enrollment is now perpetual. Once you have a spot in class, you will keep that day and time until you master skills at this level.

GRADUATING PRE-TEAM!

  • When swimmers are able to complete 50 yard legal: Freestyle, Backstroke, and Breaststroke with both grab turns/flip turns and a legal start they will graduate from our pre-team! We will work with families to help place graduates with local swim teams if interested.

*Strongest coaches meet with younger swimmers

*Hampshire College Pool 79-80 degrees

*Mostly 12 and under swimmers

* 1:12 coach to swimmer ratio

*Focused on skills

*Level 1: 3x week for 1.25 hours (minimum 2x week)

*Level 2: 4x week for 1.25 hours (minimum 3x week)

*Do not need be residents 

*$125 month for 3 days/week

West Springfield Torpedoes:

*no age minimum, Prereq: 25yards freestyle (basic) & backstroke

*$150 for season

*Practices 4x week (must come 2x week to participate in meets & champs)

*Part of Pioneer Valley Swim League (not USA Swimming)
